Destiny’s Child Michelle Williams Returns To Evine Live

On the heels of a huge management shakeup at Evine Live, the home shopping network still managed to put out a press release about the return of former Destiny’s Child Michelle Williams and her home collection.

“Believe by Michelle Williams,” a Grammy-winning recording artist and songwriter, will be on Thursday and Friday.

Williams previewed her home collection last September.

One of the few Evine Live execs left after the abrupt departure of CEO Mark Bozek and his lieutenant Russell Nuce, Chief Merchandising Officer Penny Burnett, was quoted in the press release.

“We’re thrilled to have Michelle return to our studios to debut her full collection,” Burnett said. “Michelle is a natural on camera. Her passion for design is immediately felt by viewers, who quickly connect with her product and its story. We’re looking forward to having Michelle back on-air to showcase her brand and help celebrate our Company’s first anniversary as Evine Live.”

As for WIlliams herself, she said, “This collection has been months in the making and I can’t wait to finally unveil it on Evine Live. During the September preview, viewers got a taste for the collection. In just a few days, they’ll discover everything that ‘Believe by Michelle Williams’ has to offer.”

Inspired by her grandmother and mother — who crafted items for their family, and her world travels as an actress and musician — “Believe by Michelle Williams” reflects Williams’ “style and passion for design,” according to the press release.

This week, products will include textiles such as floral-printed comforters, quilted coverlets, duvet sets and fashion-forward sheet designs.

Following the February premiere, Williams will continue to expand her collection with a new assortment in March.

Evine Live just announced that Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child, will preview her “Believe at Home” line on the network on Sept. 23.

Williams — a Grammy winner, singer, songwriter and actress — will give fans a sneak peek at her collection of home products, with the full line debuting this spring.

Evine Live went with the hype, calling Destiny’s Child “the biggest pop group of all time.” We don’t know about that.

“Michelle’s broad reach in the Pop, Gospel and R&B worlds coupled with her approachability and sophisticated sense of style make her a perfect addition to the Evine Live family and further expands our assortment of ‘brand with fans,'” Russell Nuce, the network’s chief strategy officer, said in a canned statement.

“Michelle’s new collection not only offers our customers incredible value and quality, but also helps us expand our home assortment and fill a missing niche in the category.”

“I’m so excited to come to Evine Live and share my passion for design with viewers,” Williams said in her canned statement.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been intrigued by home décor. I remember watching my mother and grandmother hand-stitch quilts and sew their own curtains and bedding. That’s really where the inspiration for this collection began.”

HSN Is Taking Us To Disney’s ‘Oz,’ And Hottie James Franco, In March

HSN is partnering with the Mouse House in a promotional extravaganza for Walt Disney Studios’ “Oz The Great and Powerful.”

In this latest HSN marketing collaboration for a movie, the home shopping network will be offering an exclusive collection of fashions, jewelry, beauty and home accessories based on the film, it announced this week.

To promote the collection and the movie, HSN has developed a comprehensive marketing campaign that includes a special two-day live event that can be viewed across all of its platforms — TV, HSN.com and HSN mobile.

“Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by horror film maestro Sam Raimi (we hope there’s no gore in this), stars hottie James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz (married to hottie Daniel Craig) and Michelle Williams. The screen story is by Mitchell Kapner and the screenplay is by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. The film opens in theaters nationwide March 8.

HSN designers have created a curated assortment of exclusive products reflecting the spirit of the film. The apparel, accessories, jewelry and beauty pieces reflect the essence of the movie’s three, witches Theodora, Evanora and Glinda, drawing inspiration from their sense of style, personality and unique color palettes.
