Meat Loaf Is On QVC’s Lunchtime Menu Today

May 4, 2010

Iconic singer Meat Loaf, who has racked up 60 million in worldwide album sales through the course his career, is scheduled to appear on QVC today at noon.

Meat Loaf is scheduled to perform his brand new song “Los Angeloser” from his forthcoming album, “Hang Cool Teddy Bear,” which will drop in retail May 11. He will also perform one of our favorites from him or anyone else: “Paradise by the Dashboard Light.”

In addition to performing, Meat Loaf will also offer viewers the opportunity to purchase “Hang Cool Teddy,” which has been specially packaged for QVC with a bonus disc of classic live material, one week before its street date.

“”Hang Cool Teddy Bear’ is the most important record of my life,” Meat Loaf said in a canned statement. “This will be the first live performance of any song from this album in the world. I’m excited to be able to share this extraordinary moment with QVC and reach direct into the homes of all my fans.”

“Hang Cool Teddy Bear” was produced by Rob Cavallo, who has worked with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Paramore, and features a stellar array of big-name guests, including Steve Vai, former Queen guitarist Brian May, American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, actor/comedian/musician Jack Black and “House” star Hugh Laurie.
