ShopNBC Kicks Off Fashion Week Monday, With Those Geox Shoes We Can’t Afford At The Mall

May 10, 2010

ShopNBC launches its “Fashion Week” Monday, which will feature the most fashion premieres, new footwear and apparel products ever shown within one week on the network.

The five-day event will feature the premiere of Geox Footwear — the breathable shoe from Italy; One World Fashion — designed in Los Angeles for a laid back and cool vibe; Fever Apparel — knits and casual looks for stylish multi-tasking women; and the Christine Alt Fashion Collection — designed by the former plus-size fashion model to offer great style for all sizes and body types.

The event will also feature the debut of Olivia & Grace Fashions, and fresh styles from the Pamela McCoy Collection, Encanto shoes and more.

The event will also highlight a daily “Fashion Feature,” which will appear at 9 a.m. during the 2-hour block of the ShopNBC show, “Sunrise Style”. The Fashion Feature will be head-to-toe must-have looks, along with style tips to help viewers easily update their wardrobe. In addition to the Sunrise Style shows, there will be daily fashion programming at 3 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

“Our customers have continued to ask us for newness,” Cindy Chen-Derkacz, ShopNBC’s vice president of fashion, said in a canned statement. “For this May Fashion Week, our buying team sought out great brands and the newest styles. We look forward to presenting our finds during this week jam-packed with great looks that go from work to weekend.”

ShopFASHION at ShopNBC’s Facebook page will provide behind-the-scenes updates and stylish giveaways throughout the event.

A Flash From The Past, Adrienne Vittadini Fashion Collection Launches on ShopNBC

April 1, 2010

Adrienne Vittadini, once known for her beautiful knitwear, is coming to ShopNBC Friday at 8 p.m.

The Adrienne Vittadini show series will debut as part of the Spring Fashion Celebration — a 16-hour fashion event featuring new looks for the spring season. We had some of her gorgeous and pricey pieces in the 1980s and 1990s, but then she and her line seemed to fall off the map.

During the “Adrienne Vittadini” show series, guest expert David Cassaday will present the collection.

Here’s the hype from ShopNBC:

“Best known for its sophisticated and modern separates, the Adrienne Vittadini collection features beautifully detailed designs for fashionable women to create a polished look with ease. Viewers of the show will be delighted to discover the newest in casual chic apparel and handbags infused with feminine details, along with expert fashion advice on where and how to wear each piece.”

We don’t remember Vittadini having handbags in the collections she sold at retail, just clothing.

“We are excited to introduce Adrienne Vittadini fashions to our ShopNBC customers,” Cindy Chen-Derkacz, ShopNBC’s Vice President of Fashion, said in a canned statement. “This beautifully designed collection combines feminine looks with easy to wear styles, providing women with a casual, yet chic line of fashions to express her personal style. This collection is a premium addition as we continue to grow our apparel and accessories offerings to become the destination for women of all ages and sizes to find the fashions that bring her confidence, energy and style.”

The Adrienne Vittadini premiere is part of the ShopNBC Spring Fashion Celebration Friday. The event features 16 hours of must-have spring styles for women, including the premiere of Marika Activewear and fashionable outerwear from the Judy Crowell Collection.

Judy Crowell

We know this is not news to our readers, but here is a slightly edited version of ShopNBC’s official press release Tuesday on the debut of Judy Crowell’s line:

Judy Crowell Launches New Fashion & Accessories Collection on ShopNBC

MINNEAPOLIS — ShopNBC, the premium lifestyle brand in electronic retailing, announced today that Judy Crowell, television shopping industry veteran and fashion trend forecaster, has joined the network as the inspiration and designer of the new show series, “Judy Crowell Collection.”

Ms. Crowell will premiere on ShopNBC Tuesday, November 24 at 2 am and 9 pm ET.

Judy Crowell brings over 20 years of television experience to ShopNBC. She began her career as a TV correspondent, then as a TV shopping host for QVC and HSN. Ms. Crowell is certified as a trend forecaster from the World Fashion Council.

The Judy Crowell Collection will feature fashion outerwear and accessories for women seeking to update their wardrobe and help create a polished look. Designed to enhance rather than replace a woman’s wardrobe, the Judy Crowell Collection also caters to women searching for timeless and affordable accessories. Viewers will be surprised and delighted with the newest trends in handbags, sunglasses, scarves and more, along with Ms. Crowell’s advice on where and how to wear each piece.

Judy Crowell’s Key Accessories for Holiday 2009:

— Paisley Scarf (S51183). Key accessory for the season, the scarf adds
instant sophistication to any outfit.

— Crackle Finish Clutch (S50996). Add a little ooh la la to last year’s
little black dress.

— Braid Detail Shopper Handbag (S50997). Look pulled together and stay
organized with this handy tote that shifts from work to play.

“We are pleased to welcome Judy and her collection to the ShopNBC family,” said Cindy Chen-Derkacz, ShopNBC’s Vice President of Fashion.

“Her sense of style and trend insight is long-admired by her loyal viewers and industry experts. Judy’s presentation style is not only entertaining, but will also educate viewers with effortless ways to create a timeless and polished look. Judy and her collection are an exciting addition to our fashion category, as we continue to build an array of wardrobe options that work for the busy lifestyles of ShopNBC customers.”

“Since the moment I walked into ShopNBC and felt the energy of the network and its entire staff, I’ve been excited to premiere the Judy Crowell Collection to viewers across the country,” said Judy Crowell, designer and guest expert.

“As women, we oftentimes have an entire closet full of clothes yet feel like we have nothing to wear. I hope to change that. I’ll be combining my experience and enthusiasm for fashion, along with helpful style tips to educate, entertain, and connect with viewers.”
