Sur La Table Coming To ShopNBC Monday, Dragging Along QVC Vet Bob Bowersox

National kitchenware retailer Sur La Table, who we know from Kierland Commons in Scottsdale, will be debuting on ShopNBC Monday.

“Never before seen on TV retailing,” as the press release says, the Sur La Table Kitchen Show will feature the retailer’s namesake line of kitchenware and gadgets, including exclusive Cuisinart appliances, to the delight of ShopNBC’s loyal viewers, who are sure to get everything they need to make the kitchen the center of their home.

As part of the premiere, The Sur La Table Kitchen Show will include cookware, bakeware, gadgets, cutlery and table settings
as well as exclusive, brightly colored Cuisinart appliances including mixers, food processors, blenders and more.

Sur La Table guest expert Jacob Maurer with be showing off the latest innovations and technology in kitchen appliances as well as unique and exclusive items including knives, kitchen tools and tableware.

In addition, ShopNBC culinary expert and cook book author Bob Bowersox — a QVC retread — will launch The Sur La Table Show premiere with a “Today’s Top Value” offer: The Sur La Table 10-Piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set with Bonus Cookbook, a $435 retail value available for $176.54 on that day only.

For more than 20 years (many of them at QVC, which ShopNBC fails to mention). Bowersox “has entertained households across America with his extensive knowledge, down-to-earth charm, and helpful presentations of kitchen innovations and appliances. QVC refugee Bob Bowersox was back on ShopNBC Thursday “by popular demand,” according to the No. 3 home shopping network.

Bowersox made his second appearance on ShopNBC during “Around the Kitchen” shows at midnight, 4 a.m., 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. His final appearance is coming up, at 5 p.m.

ShopNBC described Bowersox as an “actor, voiceover artist, screenwriter, playwright, novelist, poet, singer, songwriter and national television network personality.” Who knew?

As part of the show series, Bowersox “will take viewers on an exploration” of the Sharper Image Super Wave Oven, which sold out in its first airing on the network in June.

The Sharper Image Super Wave Oven is designed to cook your food up to three times faster than a conventional oven, with up to 80 percent less energy. Customers will learn how this unique product can transform their time in the kitchen and discover easy ways to make cooking at home more enjoyable.

Bob is back

Another QVC alum has found his way to ShopNBC.

Former QVC host Bob Bowersox, who used to date ex-QVC host Kathy Levine, will be on ShopNBC Thursday at midnight, 4 a.m., 12 p.m. and 4 p.m, in the “Around the Kitchen” show series.

He will be appearing as a “guest expert,” according to the No. 3 home shopping network. He will offer his cooking and kitchen appliance expertise.

ShopNBC describes Bowersox, who abruptly disappeared from QVC some time ago, as as “actor, voiceover artist, screenwriter, playwright, novelist, poet, singer, songwriter, and national television network personality.”

What ShopNBC fails to mention is that Bowrsix “was a national television network personality” via his tenure at QVC. But ShopNBC does call Bowersox “a home shopping favorite.”

Former QVC host Dave King is also now over at ShopNBC, as a host.
