This is blockbuster news in the home shopping world: Jewelry vendor and Jersey guy Chuck Clemency is leaving ShopHQ, where he has been forever, for Shop LC!
We just got back from an evening walk and checked Facebook and saw a post from Clemency.
“When opportunity knocks … I answer,” he wrote. “And I want ALL of you to come along. The fastest-growing, most innovative and most importantly — JEWELRY FOCUSED-network — ShopLC will be my new home starting in July.”
Clemency said more specifics and updates will follow.
Well, now two of ShopHQ’s “Three Amigos” — jewelry vendors Clemency, Paul Deasy and Michael Valitutti — have exited that home shopping network, although we heard Deasy is supposedly on his way back to Minnesota.
We enjoy watching Clemency, but really haven’t been wowed by his collection much recently. But we did break down and purchase his diamond “smile” necklace, similar to a Tiffany’s “T” design, and think it is gorgeous.
Can’t say that we’ve watched Shop LC, but we will tune in to see what Clemency has to offer.

You’re right about shoplc having the best prices. I can’t understand why all the negative remarks are for shoplc. I am a recent customer of theirs, since Chuck landed there, and I can say that in the high-end merchandise, their quality for the price can’t be beat. I have already bought a sugar loaf tanzanite ring (try finding that anywhere else), a red diamond bangle bracelet, and red diamond princess cut earrings. All of the stones are natural, by the way. Cheryl does NOT have a “booming” voice, and Chuck can be silly, but entertaining as well. I love watching the host trying to get the floor away from Chuck when he goes off on his long rants.

ShopLC stands for Liquidation Channel. This is career suicide. Chuck is a behind the scenes nightmare and an HR ticking time bomb. His tantrums, childish behavior and narcissism have gotten him kicked out of the network and exiled to ShopLC. His sales were dismal and his audience was shrinking. Poor Blake, just when he thought he could step out of his dad’s shadow.

Maybe, just maybe, Chuck had reason to be upset. Management at HQ is clueless. I don’t quite believe he was kicked out-it isn’t like HQ is a thriving company. I am sure most viewers would prefer some jewelry shows to the endless watch shows. I used to love to watch shows, now my viewing is down to almost 0. Trying to get rid of Gem Treasures with a behind the scene programmer these last couple of days was pathetic.

I would guess Valitutti is not far behind. There is nothing on this channel but encore presentations, watches, that Medic stuff and more encores of encores. If Deasy is going back, assume his “sell online” venture didn’t work out too well. I think all of the employees of this network should be looking for jobs. This is one sinking ship. LIke all of the jewelry stuff on all networks, you have to pick and choose on Shop LC. And turn off the volume!!

Kim: You are right about Shop LC. You definitely have to turn off the volume. Chuck will have to reduce his prices considerably to make sales there. Lots of complaints filed against this company regarding lack of quality. There are some good buys there but you never know until you actually see what you ordered. Their shipping prices are up there also. When I saw Chuck’s announcement on my facebook page I was floored. He was always bragging about his long association with HQ. He always seemed nervous during his shows these last few months which explains dismal sales another poster mentioned. Maybe it was Kathy’s (his wife) ring or Kathy’s bracelet in the thousands of dollars he was trying to push, like he paid that for them. Wonder what’s going on with Gems En Vogue these days!

A few weeks ago Michael straight out said on air that he had a limited supply of products because his factory is shut down. So between lack of supply from the jewelry vendors and needing to sell the heck out of the CD-19 stuff, less jewelry shows on HQ.

It seems like every single time I turn on that channel, they are hawking some overpriced supplement or some type of junk. I guess they are taking over. I knew Chuck was affiliated with LC but a few months ago I heard him say his son-I don’t know which one-was moving from Texas back to NJ so maybe he had two sons working for LC because Blakely is still there. Who knows. Meanwhile this morning on HQ, Heather Hall, in a recorded program from yesterday I think it was. was trying to get rid of Gem Treasures Tanzanite. Programming ran in a loop, about 1/2 maybe, and cohost was Matthew who, they said, worked at HQ behind the scenes for years. Prices were still high and some of the stones were very, very pale.

This is a big change. I don’t watch much and didn’t realize Valitutti was gone. Chuck was a big jewelry vendor, on there for years. Without them, there is less jewelry selection.
HQ is going under, little by little. I hope they make it but it takes more than Invicta face masks and over priced hand sanitizer to make a good shopping channel.

No kidding, the focus on HQ is not on jewelry!! That is part of the reason they aren’t doing well. Ms Moss said Michael was gone; I guess we’ll see what happens with him. His jewelry is not the good quality it used to be.
As is Chuck’s. Good luck to the people who need repairs. That will fall into a new category “bought this now can’t get it fixed”. I learned a long time ago, if jewelry (or anything else) looks flimsy or faulty, send it back immediately.

I tried ShopLC recently and mainly because I needed to buy a birthday gift for my mom and Chuck seemed to be in the witness protection program. The blue zircon bracelet I bought is really lovely and was a great price too. I doubt ShopHQ pushed him out. What else did they have left that was appealing? When they cut back jewelry hours on Black Friday and at Christmas in general the writing was on the wall. I bet ShopLC is gearing up to be THE jewelry network and getting Chuck on board is a very savvy move. Can’t wait to watch him there.

Abigail, I’m in Phoenix area, too, and no, it isn’t a channel we pick up.
Their web page is scruffy, and from what I heard, their on air presentations are really low brown. I’m a little leery of shopping there; I’ve heard their customer service is nightmarish. I’m done with Chuck, pretty much, anyway. His quality is slipping badly.
BTW, we are experiencing extra hot weather for this time of year, aren’t we. It seems these temperatures should be here late June or early July. My morning hikes have come to a screeching halt. Hello, treadmill 🏃🏼♀️!

I have Comcast as well! But I can watch ShopLC on my tv using the YouTube app. Just request click on ShopLC and you can watch it on big screen tv 24/7. And it’s the live feed! FYI☺️

On Chuck’s facebook page a lot of people told him they can’t get ShopLC on their tv. He is encouraging everyone to watch him on a computer and said he does that too. I get that channel but several hours are devoted to politics, news from china spoken in chinese and the selling of old albums. It will be interesting to see if his prices comes down. That will be what watchers of ShopLC will expect imo.

HSN used to be like that. They shared a channel with the local (San Francisco Bay Area…where I lived then) Chinese community channel. The Chinese channel came on during the day, once or twice, for about 2 hours. Then they came on at 10 PM till about 2 or 3 AM. Then HSN went to cable in 2002, I believe.
Watching TV on computers is tedious, especially home shopping channels. They constantly buffer and lose sound. Not worth it. I doubt many people will do that.
Yes, I imagine shopLC customers will expect reduced prices. Which will reduce the quality even more. It will be interesting to hear what happens with Chuck on there. I believe shopLC is based in Texas. A completely different climate….weather and people…than MN. Friendlier, I would guess. But I think he’ll adjust his prices, and quality, a bit lower.
I guess he felt HQ was a sinking ship and he had no other choice.

Chuck has been with HQ forever. Maybe a little birdie told him that HQ was going to tank. Why shopLC? That’s the last place hosts and vendors go before they are put out to pasture. But, if you look at the big picture, all the channels are tumbling down. Not a pretty sight, and I miss home shopping of yesteryear.
On a different post, about HSN and QVC, people are talking about ex HSN host Rachel Huber thumping the Bible and judging people. I looked at her social media, and they’re right. I guess fading into obscurity doesn’t set well with her.
And, her face looks different because of Botox and mostly fillers. I have a friend that’s doing the same thing with the same results. Their faces look like they’re made of smooth sponge or fat or something. Who lives in a 🍍 under the sea?

Emma: Chuck is going to Shop LC because in a sense he is already there. They have supplied his jewelry line for many years . Also his son works there and has been hosting these last few weeks. He can reunite with Shawn Wilsie who used to be with Shop HQ til they let him go. Another HQ host went there but didn’t stay long. Then she made a youtube video about what she didn’t like and what to beware of when you buy from LC and others, sealing her fate that she will never work in home shopping again.

You’re right about the rant video, and ol’ SpongeFaceRachelJudgmentPants sealed her fate the same way, with a crybaby rant video on Facebook about how badly they treated her at HSN. If it was so bad, why did she stay for 11+ years? She made the video after she left TSC or otherwise they’d have never hired her.

With Rachel’s numerous job changes, judgmental religious posts, and several weird videos, I think she has cracked… at least a bit.
Before she was fired from HSN, she had a weird show with Antthony Mark Hankins. She seemed confused and befuddled, and was spaced out and at a loss for words. It was very unlike her; she really was a good host. Maybe that was the beginning of this “new behavior”.
At any rate, she’s worth forgetting about; no need to pay attention to those kinds of people. She’s become an obnoxious snot, and whether it’s mental problems or personality problems, I close to ignore her. That’s the best solution.

I’ve been out of the loop lately, working 3rd shift. Wow…what a surprise. Chuck was such a fixture at HQ. But it’s understandable why he’s leaving. HQ is headed for rock bottom. I can’t believe shop LC is becoming so popular.
Gwen, I completely agree about Rachel Huber. She has turned into a hot mess with a horrible personality. I think she’s losing it or has lost it. Her videos and judgmental posts are quite the opposite of what she led us to believe she was like on HSN.
She should go off social media. A quick look at her Facebook and Instagram don’t even hint that she’s still working. She started an Instagram account for her cats, who are precious. That’s the only social media she should post.

I just started watching Shop LC about a year ago. I know it is hard getting used to how loud they are, but it is getting kind of entertaining. On Friday’s, they have $9.99 day. Some days it is crap, and some days I could buy every single thing I see. I am hooked on it!!!

Karen: I happened to put LC on one Friday a.m. and landed up buying two rings. Stainless steel, and the stones were amythysts and garnets, same ring, 5 stones each. Not bad for the money for a couple of rings to wear on my pointer finger. Stones weren’t faceted the way I like but for 9.99, plus tax and shipping of course x 2 they were ok. Saw the same ring at JTV for $29.99 on sale..

Well, after over 30 years with ValueVision/ShopNBC/Evine/ShopHQ I’ve jumped ship to LC. As a night owl and insomniac I started watching Shop LC when ShopHQ had overnights full of watches or The Dubrows. Was surprised to find hosts I like (Michelle, Shannon, Becky), wonderful Shawn Wilsie and Karen Connelly from ValueVision, and a loose, festive atmosphere. In fact, it reminds me of the early ValueVision. There was a very funny segment recently when Tanner? (the slightly disheveled fellow) tried to explain the types of gold, using a weird drawing, math, and heaven knows what. His earnestness was quite endearing.
Their online site has tons of inexpensive items, and the auctions are great fun for the bargain shopper. I picked up a gorgeous 3-stone prasiolite ring in sterling for $9! Not to mention the stunning Bali line, very well made. They also have some fun costume pieces under $10. When Covid struck it was the first place I could find masks and hand sanitizer. And they donate a meal to hungry children in Indian and the U.S. for every item sold. Not to be a cheerleader for them! Somehow they’re the shopping channel for me during this odd time in the country.
Interesting to see how Chuck fares at LC. He’ll be a host?! No more jewelry? His jewelry is hit and miss for me, usually hit, but the last year or so there was nothing that thrilled. I was looking foward to the Three Amigos’ reunion, but maybe they can rope Samuel B into their threesome. Or Victoria Wieck! Dos amigos y una amiga?

I have some spectacular diamond purchases from them as well as cheaper purchases and household items. I love the hosts! The only shopping channel where they genuinely seem to have fun. And I believe Chuck Clemency is bringing his jewelry line there to present, but not as a host. He’ll be a guest presenter as he was on ShopHQ.

Well now I really want to watch LC, imperfections and all, and we don’t get it in my area. And I cannot justify getting Dish TV just for that, especially losing almost half our household income to covid.
I miss actually watching home shopping. Never much of a QVC fan, I enjoyed older HSN and ShopNBC/ShopHQ/Evine/ShopHQ. I’ve only been buying from HQ, and lately nothing. It sounds like LC is like the real home shopping experience again. For now, I’ll browse online. I’m actually surprised we don’t get that channel here because Texas is just one state over 🤔🤔. Hopefully, they’ll broadcast in our area in the near future.

Their website isn’t very user friendly, but I’ve picked up a few bargains. I just mainly look at jewelry. I’m hoping we get it in my area, soon, too. I’m so done with QVC and HSN. And I was a loyal HSN customer some years ago. And I shopped on HQ for years, too. They are sinking quickly now, unfortunately. Maybe the increased business at LC will encourage them to expand their broadcast.

I recently started watching ShopLC, too. I bought an Opatra Dermineck & Dermi-eye, as my birthday present this year for $199. What. A. Deal. This thing is AMAZING!! I use it on my face, back of my hands, bad knee and even started using it on one of my dogs (white Toy Poodle–won’t work on my other Poodles who are red) for gastro issues. My rip-off vet charged me $1000 just for tests–NO treatment. I also ordered waterless car wash/wax, another great product and am waiting for my Alexandrite ring to be delivered. I REALLY like listening to Kim and Michele, I think they are a hoot! Very entertaining and informative. I am sick of the phony, breathless, gasping of the hosts on SHOPHQ and HSN, although I still buy things occasionally. The Dubrows have ruined SHOPHQ for me. I CANNOT stand either one, especially the jealous, ugly, braggart wife. I wonder if they have invested money in that channel, as they are on it constantly.

Chuck’s jewelry line is Shop LC’s jewelry line. That is where his jewelry has come from for the last ten years, according to Chuck. (Most if not all made in India). He will be selling jewelry on LC as of July and is planning an introduction extravaganza. . Guess I will have to tune out the annoying background music and over emoting hosts and watch a little more.

Flipped back a little later and it was down to about $199,99 and never ever did the two hosts see anything like that in their lifetime. Flipped back a little later and it was $179.99, Thirty-five minutes and they were still playing games with the same ring and silly back and forth talk. They aren’t playing the music as loud as they usually do, tho, if at all but I do not have the patience or desire to watch this kind of show.

Two lovely ladies who kept viewers watching HQ but they weren’t smart enough to realize that. I saw Kate and Mallory on LC too. Then HQ said they were a national brand and sold in other places, but nothing like the fabulous buys at HQ. Sure.

Chuck seems to have always been supportive of his two amigos and encouraged Paul to come back to ShopNbc (which he is doing now) Now that Chuck was forced out/had to leave Shophq, would hope Paul would be supportive also… Not sure though given the Facebook status…

Update on Michael Valitutti and Paul Deasy-Michael did a facebook video from his back yard. Apparently he did not know his fate at HQ til they let him know in May that he will be staying there. That really surprised me. He has a show with the “best host there is” Heather Hall this week. (He said that). And also shows with Kendy and Erin. Regarding Paul Deasy, Michael will be manufacturing Paul’s jewelry from hereon in. What that really means in terms of how it is shown and who shows it I don’t know, nor care. Michael was a guest Sunday morning with Paul and Judy on their video which I did not watch. Seems like everyone who comments on Judy puts the word “beautiful” before her name, even the hosts at HQ did that. Hmmm ok. She’s probably very nice. But I am not a fan of Paul nor his jewelry. I don’t think there are all that many options for vendors like Michael and Paul these days. So they do what they can to stay relevant.

Chuck is fun to watch as ever, and his personality is great with Katie, who is his co host most of the time. You are so right about the ‘beautiful wife’ comments about Judy – and about Chuck’s wife too. If they were beautiful you wouldn’t have to say it.right. No sign and no mention of dragging her or the daughter with the snake tattoos out which is a big plus. Blake is a good host and they are talking about doing a father son show. Bought some things and the quality was really good and prices are unreal. Good move looking at ShoPInvicta.

I agree. I have to change the channel when she is the host because she is so loud and irritating. It does not matter how much I wanted to watch, if she is the host I cannot stay tuned 🙁

I love Cheryl! She is the most knowledgeable gem host on the station! You learn a lot listening to her. I also like Blake Clemency! Informative, pleasant and always a gentleman! I will take any of the ShopLC hosts over the phony hosts on the other shopping channels!
And their pricing is excellent!

I, too, enjoy Cheryl. In her earlier years at JTV, I would watch her overnight shows sometimes when I couldn’t sleep. Mr worked graveyard for a couple years, and it was definitely an adjustment!
I like how she is so knowledgeable about gems, and seems really interested in her job. I was happily surprised when I finally found a way to watch LC, thanks to you, MaryAnn, and saw her on there. I really missed her at JTV and haven’t watched them much since.
Anyway, she’s a real rock hound and knows her stuff, and is a good host.

Kim and Katie are good, Blake is very professional and like you said a gentleman. There is one scary host Michelle. She seems either out of it or really slow and some of the things she says and does are strange and would get her fired at any other job. I saw one night she ran her hands through Blake’s hair. He was stunned and looked like he wanted to run – she did this during Covid. How stupid. The hosts as a group are like able and fun to watch and it’s a looser more interesting feel than the fake boats at the other channels.

I agree about ShopLC host Michele! There’s definitely something off with her. No filter whatsoever…never knows when to stop. She’s so rude to her cohosts and overtalks then constantly. I’m baffled as to why they tolerate this behavior!

I get Shop LC on Spectrum/Time Warner. I was surprised to see Chuck Clemancy on Shop LC. I was flipping channels and thought I heard his voice, and then I saw him selling Shungite. He seemed really happy. Wonder about the other 2 Amigo’s…

Judy is darling. I met her on the cruise. What a mess that was. They had no jewelry to buy and take home. I wanted to save shipping and taxes. But I’m only a customer so what do I know. No more Waterford HQ. That’s the only thing to watch. I love QVC so I won’t be channel surfing any more.

I have long watched LC, HQ (only for Chuck) JTV etc. Life changes guys. I did the same thing and heard Chucks voice from another room and was happily shocked to see him on LC. I like Blake and i love Cheryl and Kim from the old JTV days. LOVE Nikki too. She is so happy. Cheryl is a certified gem expert ok? She knows her stuff so listen to her. I am glad when she is on. Chuck still rocks!

I too, am a big fan of Nikki Stanzione. So sorry she left ShopLC for ShopHQ! She was one of the reasons I even tuned in to ShopLC! I wish her the best but quite surprised she signed on to ShopHQ i.e. the Titanic of homeshopping! Hope it works out, but if it doesn’t, I’m sure SHOPLC would welcome her back! She is missed! ☺️

I love Nikki too, but I guess I won’t get to see her as I don’t tune in to ShopHQ much. It’s all watches, watches, watches! By the way, has anyone else noticed that since Chuck Clemency landed on ShopLC, he has done perfume, clothing, all kinds of junk in addition to jewelry? Also, we see very little of Blake now on that channel. Blake was also hawking all manner of goods, besides jewelry. Times are tough now, and a job is a job.

Lost all respect for him as now I realize he was faking that he ‘designed’ anything. He’s just a salesman. Even the ring he claimed was his ‘celebration’ ring when he first got to Shop LC they had been selling for months and on their UK sister channel. Lately has has been selling cheap housewares, vinyl handbags and houseboats, while in the hours before and after him they have a Brazilian guy who is a real gemologist selling high end gemstones and jewelry. Reality check and Chuck being exposed for what he is — just a good salesman. Nothing more.

It took me a while to figure out Chuck too. He had items named after family members, like the “Kathy ring”, and the earrings named after his daughter. But it was all smoke and mirrors. Blake introduced the heartbeat pendant on Shop HQ a long time ago, and said his fiancee was a nurse. But she later dumped him. Blake’s jewelry (which also wasn’t really his) was called City Scapes, or something like that. Now I am wondering if ANY of them really design the jewelry lines, or if they’re just peddling them.

I totally agree with those who are sick of the Invicta and medical supplies ad nauseum on ShopHQ. I used to watch that station a lot, but not since this influx. I am delighted to have found ShopLC where they have such a wide range of products (and quality)….and fantastic prices! And yes, Michael Valetutti is on HSN.

I love Michael Valetutti, he is a real sweetheart. I love that he sources his metals here in the US, instead of overseas, and his rings have some of the most beautiful designs. I also love his little charms that match his pendants and rings. I have purchased quite a few of them.

I don’t blame HSN for dumping gem treasures, chuck is a fraud. I purchased a rose gold ring with a Morganite topaz, after 2 wearing the rose gold was gone, and the stone has faded to almost white. I sent it back for repair and paid to have it repaired, I received it back in 2weeks and it was in the same condition. I called they said I could send it in again and pay again, so I told them to ***off. I paid a Hugh price for this ring. It is not even presentable to wear.

Someone mentioned that Shoplc shipping is too high.Excuse me,but if you think 2.99 and 3.99 shippng/handling is too high,then you must be looking at the wrong network. I have bought from Shoplc for years and 98% of the products I buy are really good quality.I started having poor quality products with QVC years ago,so I rarely buy from them and their prices are high sky.It’s the same with HSN. As for JTV,their stones kept falling out,even before wearing.Poor quality in many places,but I really enjoy Shoplc,just because they are light hearted and cheerful,which means a lot now days.

I haven’t purchased much from any of the home shopping networks for about 5 years. However there was a time I purchased quite alot of beautiful jewelry. I’ve purchased beautiful pieces on HSN, Shop NBC/HQ and rarely from QVC (talk about over priced). However the majority of my rings were purchased from JTV and the quality was always good for the pieces I kept. None of my jewelry has fallen apart. Most of my necklaces and bracelets came from ShopNBC from the various vendors. I have purchased stunning pieces from each of the networks. But there came a time when I realized I had enough and needed to step away from the home shopping world. I did enjoy the various personalities of the hosts and the commeraderie that seemed to exist between the vendors and hosts on ValueVision/ShopNBC/HQ and those relationships made it interesting and entertaining to watch. I also learned everything I know about fine jewelry from watching and listening to the various vendors and hosts on that channel. I have a fantastic fine jewelry collection which cost me a fraction of what I would have paid in a retail store. But, like everything else in Iife things change and people move on. I am glad I got to experience what I did and in some ways will miss the thrill of the hunt. I wish Chuck, Michael, Paul and all the hosts who are no longer there well and offer them thanks for the happiness they gave me.
