Country King Keith Urban Back At HSN Sunday

December 11, 2014

On the heels of his win at last month’s Country Music Awards, and being nominated for two Grammy Awards for “Best Country Solo Performance” and “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” just last week, Keith Urban will be back at HSN this Sunday with his latest guitar collection.

The spouse of Nicole Kidman will be debuting his Deluxe “Player” Guitar line.

“I first started playing the guitar when I was six and I remember feeling an instant connection to it,” Urban said in a canned statement.

“So it was important to me to make learning it as easy as possible, for any age, and to create an affordable, quality instrument so that as many people as possible could have a chance to discover the joy of playing. I believe that’s exactly what we’ve been able to do.”

Urban will have the Today’s Special, his fourth HSN guitar collection, at a price tag of $299.95, $100 off of its regular price at the home shopping network.

Urban’s largest guitar collection to date, the Deluxe “Player” package comes with a 30-DVD lesson series where the handsome singer teaches aspiring musicians the fundamental building blocks needed to learn how to play 30 hit songs: 15 of his top hits and 15 classic rock favorites.

Each disc includes:

* a full lesson designed for you to build as you go to master the song from start to finish
* a one-on-one solo performance practice session to cement the flow of the song
* a play along with the band practice session
* a final session featuring a backup band where you become the star

The “Player” features two versions of the guitar: an all-wood body, handcrafted, Acoustic-Electric guitar with built-in on board 4 band EQ and tuner; or the Solid Body Electric guitar complete with double humbucker style pick-ups, 3 way selector switch and volume and tone controls.

Each 50-piece set is available in four color ways including the Keith Urban signature Brazilian Burst, Rich Black, Crimson and Jade.

The “Light The Fuse” limited edition series was inspired by Urban’s “Light The Fuse” tour, which kicked off in 2013.

The “Light The Fuse” Collection features two versions of the “Light The Fuse” guitar – all wood electric or acoustic-electric – and will be available in five “flame maple burst” color ways – Brazilian, Ebony, Brazilian Blonde, Cherry Red and Teal Burst, according to HSN.

It is part of a 21-piece set that includes an amplifier; extra set of coated guitar strings; carrying case; guitar picks; and a double-lesson DVD tutorial, where Urban walks you through one-on-one lessons.

The complete package, with double-lesson DVD, is part of Keith’s mission to bring music into the lives of others and “inspire and help you to discover the creativity that will set you on your musical journey,” HSN said in a press release Wednesday.

“We felt so much energy coming back from the crowd night after night on our ‘Light The Fuse’ tour,” Urban said in a canned statement. “We decided it was the perfect inspiration to create my new line of HSN guitars!!!”

Urban recently released his seventh studio album “Fuse,” which marked the first time that any country artist has simultaneously debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre charts in the United States, Canada and Australia.

“No one plays a guitar like Keith Urban, and we couldn’t be prouder to have him here at HSN,” said Joy Mangano, President of Ingenious Designs. “From arenas to televisions across America, Keith is adored by all. Now he can come into your home through the lesson DVDs and teach you guitar on this beautiful quality instrument…it doesn’t get better than that.”

The Keith Urban “Light The Fuse” Collection launches on the May 18 Today’s Special for $289.95 for the complete guitar package.
