Has QVC Put George Simonton On ‘Hold’ Forever?

February 10, 2016

Is designer George Simonton kaput on QVC?

These was speculation on the home shopping network’s forums about him when his clothing line was all on clearance on

Late last year he posted on Facebook that he is not a vendor anymore.

“Thank all of you for your concern,” Simonton wrote. “So many of you have expressed concern thinking I was sick but the truth is I’am well but sad. I was told I would be put on hold but I have not been invited back. but I wish them all the best of luck always and to my Friends & Fans please have a Blessed and Healthy New Year !!!”

Yet we swear he appeared on the home shopping network recently, so maybe QVC took him off “hold.”

QVC Designer George Simonton Gets A Makeover

May 26, 2011

We got home from a very long day Wednesday, turned on QVC and saw a designer we didn’t recognize.

It was George Simonton, with a total makeover. He is a sweetheart, but we’ve criticized his hair and attire in the past. He looked about 20 years younger today. He dyed his hair dark, grew a beard and got a hip hairdo.

The only thing we don’t like about his new look are his glasses, which have very heavy, dark frames.

Otherwise, looking good, George!

Is That ‘Tootsie,’ Or Designer George Simonton, On QVC Thursday Night?

May 28, 2010

QVC designer George Simonton looked just like Dustin Hoffman, as Tootsie, Thursday night

God will punish us for saying this, but designer George Simonton is a dead ringer for Dustin Hoffman — as the actor looked with wig and makeup in the movie “Tootsie” — on QVC tonight.

Tune in and see for yourself. Right or wrong, as we say in Jersey.

Simonton has a bouffant hairdo. We are not exaggerating.

The award-winning designer is a sweetie, and talented, so we hate to criticize his hairdo.

Doesn’t QVC have a stylist — hair and clothing — or anyone who makes sure that their vendors look good on national TV? Do the QVC hairdressers go home at 5?

Plus, Simonton is wearing white pants and a bright green windbreaker. You’re not on a yacht, George, It’s TV!
