November 15, 2016

Actress Eva Longoria will appear live on Evine on Tuesday to premiere her TechnoMarine women’s watch collection, joining a long list of celebs that are selling their wares on home shopping networks.

“I cannot wait for the opportunity to show off this collection live at Evine,” the Mexican-American star said in a canned statement.

“This collection is the result of a close collaboration between myself and TechnoMarine and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. The timepieces are a true reflection of my personal style and each graceful design was created to be enjoyed every day.”

The Eva Longoria for TechnoMarine collection is the result of Eva’s collaboration with TechnoMarine, “and is a dazzling collection of ten unique timepieces which embody today’s modern woman with timeless design and classic sophistication,” according to a press release from the channel that’s been dubbed the watch network.

Longoria will present the collection live from Evine studios during the three-hour premiere at 8pm ET. Before the premiere, she will appear on Evine’s Facebook Live show dubbed “Beyond Backstage,” a candid, unscripted conversation with Eva and will give fans a behind the scenes peek.

“Eva Longoria has long been a style icon and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to the Evine family,” Evine CEO Bob Rosenblatt said. “Eva has truly taken a hands-on role in the development and design of this collection, allowing the confidence, beauty and distinct style she’s known for to be channeled into each and every timepiece. We are excited to introduce her collection to our jewelry and watch fans.”

Actress Eva Longoria To Debut Second Perfume On HSN Thursday, Some Proceeds Go To Latina Fund

March 28, 2012

Did you know that Eva Longoria was an “actor, director, producer and philanthropist”?

That’s what HSN said earlier this week, when it announced — as we’ve previously reported — that Longoria was coming to the home shopping network.

Longoria and Falic Fashion Group (FFG) will premiere the actress’s second fragrance, EVAmour by Eva Longoria.

It will launch exclusively on HSN during the 24 Hour Spring Beauty Event on Thursday.

“EVAmour will become a personal scent for women who are confident, beautiful, sexy and intelligent…just like the HSN customer,” Longoria said in a canned statement. “I know how I feel when I am wearing it and I wish every woman to feel that same sense of sexiness and power.”

For every bottle sold, the actress will donate $1 to the Eva Longoria Foundation, which was created to help the Latina community build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship. Hey, since we’re half Puerto Rican, that’s cool.

“Fragrance is about emotion, storytelling and aspiration,” Betsy Olum, HSN’s general manager of beauty, said in a canned statement. “HSN gives our partners a platform to tell their story and really engage with their fans. We are thrilled that Eva has chosen to debut her latest fragrance with HSN.”

The EVAmour collection on HSN includes the eau de parfum in various sizes and a gift set, which includes the 3.4 fl oz, a mini travel bottle, a rollerball of the fragrance and a luxurious shower gel.

“The notes of the fragrance are comprised of Bergamot Blossom, Pink Lady Apple and Red Currant, with a heart of rich, sexy floral notes and end with a warm vanilla, amber and musk,” HSN said.

Ooo laa laa.

“Eva Longoria as a celebrity personality appeals to so many women,” Jerome Falic, CEO of Falic Fashion Industry, said in a canned statement. “Eva Longoria as a fragrance has translated beautifully and coming off the success of her first fragrance it made perfect sense to follow with the launch of EVAmour. With HSN as a retail partner we feel this launch will be equally — if not more — successful and will solidify the Eva Longoria brand in the beauty industry.”

Jewelry Designer Loren Ridinger Brings Her Honkers To HSN, Eva and Khloe Call In

December 13, 2011

There was a nice breath of fresh air on HSN last night: gorgeous jewelry.

We’ve barely been watching HSN or QVC, since with our DNA a new iPod or Nook doesn’t really float our boats.

But yesterday a new jewelry line called “Yours by Loren” debuted on HSN, featuring a collection by Loren Ridinger. Her pricey couture pricey line has a celebrity following, and last night her clients actress Eva Longoria and reality TV star Khloe Kardashian called in to wish her well.

Loren, a gorgeous cat-eyed brunette, had some striking gemstone and sterling pieces, which host Colleen Lopez showed off nicely.

Our favorites were two go-big-or-go-home rings, “honkers,” as former QVC host Kathy Levine would call them. First, there was a 24 carat smokey quartz ring, which was enormous. And then there was a 12.6-carat crystal quartz ring that Loren said was exactly modeled after a real diamond — yes, I said diamond — ring that her husband gave her to replace her original CZ wedding ring.

Now that’s a good husband. Those big rings were $200, on special.

We also loved a white topaz heart pendant, for $160.

There were other pieces we loved, as well. Check out the link:

Designer Reem Acra, Celebrity Schmatta Maker, Is Doing A Collection For HSN

September 13, 2010

Reem Acra, on the left

Luxury fashion designer Reem Acra, another “designer to the stars” that we’ve never heard of, will be bringing a collection called Reem (original) to HSN this month.

Here is Ms. Acra’s bio from HSN, for ignorant folk like us who are not up to speed on our fashion designers.

Gaining international recognition for her atelier, Reem Acra has become one of the leading names in luxury ready to wear and bridal. With an insatiable desire for luxury, Reem Acra’s designs are carried in more that 150 of the most exclusive retailers in the world. Her signature boutique on Madison Avenue in New York City is a reflection of her eclectic sensibility, combining the exotic and romantic with the modern and elegant.

Reem Acra’s designs are available internationally at leading department stores and specialty boutiques. These stores include Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue in the United States as well as Saks Fifth Avenue and Harvey Nichols in the Middle East. Her designs are also available at top specialty retailers across the world: in Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Korea.

Celebrated for her ability to match a look to a woman’s personality, Acra has dressed global icons of style for weddings, red carpet appearances and awards ceremonies. Her following includes Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Beyonce Knowles, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Eva Longoria as well as royal families around the world.

In her canned statement from HSN’s press release Monday, Acra said, “I have been approached by many companies to develop a more affordable collection, but until I met Mindy Grossman and her team, I did not believe that it would be possible to translate my designs into products that retain a luxurious feel and yet are accessible. HSN absolutely understands how to work with a designer to achieve this balance.”

Acra will show off “a capsule collection” during live segments Sept. 22 and 23 during the finale of HSN’s Fall Fashion Series Presented by ELLE. She is looking forward to engaging directly with fans of her designs.

“I know that there are a lot of women out there who appreciate great fashion and may not have easy access to it,” Acra said. “HSN provides that opportunity.”

God bless America.

“When I first met Reem, I knew she would resonate with our customers,” HSN CEO Mindy Grossman chimed in with her canned statement. “She has a unique way of melding cultural influences, femininity, meticulous detailing and color to create clothes that are truly special. “She also embodies the qualities that our customers look for from us: global style, authenticity, quality and inspiration. Never before has her collection been so accessible, and we’re excited to bring it to HSN.”

Items in the Reem collecton will range in price from $39 for a shawl to $299 for a sequin jacket, and the line will include tunics, dresses and jackets with jewelry embellishments.
