SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS COMING TO QVC

C. Wonder debuts an exclusive collection for QVC scheduled March 3

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (February 24, 2016) — QVC just got a little more wonderful. Beloved brand C. Wonder, owned by Xcel Brands, Inc., is scheduled to launch on Thursday, March 3 at 11AM (ET) with an exclusive collection created especially for QVC, the world’s leading video and ecommerce retailer.

The line features a collection of beautiful, spirited women’s clothing, accessories and jewelry designed to transport shoppers to a place they’ve never been. Lifestyle expert, fashion stylist to the stars and panelist on the E! hit show Fashion Police, Brad Goreski lends his expertise as Creative Director for the brand.

The C. Wonder collection, which is inspired by the exploration of global travel, possesses a sophisticated preppy-chic aesthetic embodied with a modern worldly spirit. Ranging in price from $26 to $236, the line of classic pieces with a fresh spin includes a variety of apparel, bags, belts, shoes, scarves and jewelry — all of which feature luxurious details such as tassels, bright colors, bohemian prints and patterns and more.

“C. Wonder was celebrated for its design aesthetic of easy and covetable on-trend pieces that are iconic yet fashionable,” said Rachel Ungaro, Vice President, Fashion and Beauty Merchandising, QVC. “We are excited to bring this beloved brand to QVC and provide shoppers with an opportunity to discover C. Wonder. Brad’s fashion and lifestyle expertise will shine through as he showcases the collection and shares styling tips on how to incorporate the products into an everyday wardrobe.”

Founded in 2011, C. Wonder was initially imagined as a retail store that offered a magical customer experience with a selection of new and unexpected products that would surprise and delight anyone who walked inside. As C. Wonder arrives on QVC, the brand mirrors the excitement and whimsy of the store experience, while offering amazing products at great prices.

“I can’t wait to share my fashion knowledge and bring this renowned brand to QVC,” said Goreski. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase a new C. Wonder collection to loyal customers, while introducing the beautiful product to those new to the brand.”

More Celebrity Jewelry Designers, Lisa And Brittny Gastineau, Join HSN ‘Family’

March 2, 2011

Lisa and Brittny Gastineau, of the E! reality show “Gastineau Girls,” are bringing a jewelry line to HSN.

The mom-and-daughter team will debut “Gastineau Glamour” March 21 on the home shopping network.

Here are the canned quotes from the pair.

“I’ve always had an eye for dressing and accessorizing, and Brittny and I are excited to bring our collection to life when we appear on HSN,” Lisa said.

And Brittny “added,” “My mom and I have always been extremely close and that will quickly become apparent when we appear on HSN. We can’t wait to share the inspirations behind the designs and be able to demonstrate to a large audience the passion we have for jewelry.”

We hate when people use cutesy spellings for their names, Brittny.

The Gastineau baubles will be modern interpretations of vintage, with pieces that feature estate-inspired looks and boho chic designs, ranging from couture-inspired necklaces and earrings, to rings, cuffs and bracelets.

“From the moment I met the Gastineaus, I knew they would be a great addition to our growing portfolio of jewelry brands,” said John Bosco, HSN senior vice president of apparel, accessories and jewelry. “Their charm, creativity and vast knowledge of jewelry will resonate with our customers.”

The Gastineau women apparently do have experience in the jewelry industry. Lisa has worked in the jewelry industry for 15 years both as a buyer and owner of two NY boutiques. The Gastineaus made their debut in fine jewelry with the launch of Tres Glam last year. Tres Glam has graced some of Hollywood’s brightest stars on the red carpet, including Debra Messing, AnnaLynne McCord, Kristin Cavallari and Guiliana Rancic.

Here’s the boilerplate on the Gastineau women.

In the 80’s, Lisa opened her first boutique, Lisa Piece’s on Long Island’s affluent gold coast, followed quickly with the opening of a second haute boutique, Avalon, in the Hamptons. Continuing from the successes of the stores, in the late 90’s, Lisa partnered with her own mother in a culmination of buying and selling expertise when they opened Trends, a vintage jewelry and textiles boutique.

Continuing her love for vintage jewelry, Lisa partnered with her daughter Brittny to create their luxury jewelry collection, Tres Glam. Launched in 2009, Tres Glam, marries timeless New York with modern Hollywood creating elemental jewel masterpieces. The unique reinterpreted and redesigned symbols make for a distinct yet recognizable statement.

The collection’s iconic Anti Envy eye is coveted by Hollywood socialites and supermodels alike, and is at the heart of the brand’s celebration of a woman’s intuition, awareness, and triumphs. Tres Glam has graced Hollywood’s red carpet, worn by leading international actresses Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts, AnnaLynne McCord, Debra Messing, and many more.

QVC Jewelry Queen Joan Rivers’ New Reality Show Debuts In An Hour On WE

January 26, 2011

No one can accuse QVC jewelry queen Joan Rivers of being lazy, just crazy.

The documentary about her, “A Piece of Work,” showed the world that she is a workaholic. And in that vein, comedian Rivers is doing a new reality show with her annoying daughter Melissa. “Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?,” that debuts in about an hour, at 9 p.m., on WE.

This work is on top of Rivers’ show on E!, “Fashion Police,” shepherding her QVC jewelry line, doing stand-up appearances and — news to us — making an infomercial for Great Hair Day, a product that covers up female baldness.

The reviews for “Joan Knows Best?” were mixed, but usually brutal TV critic Alessandra Stanley cut Rivers some slack in her review today.

After New Line On ShopNBC, Plastic Surgeon Dr. Robert Rey And HSN Seem To Have Parted Ways

October 29, 2009

Thanks to a tip from one of our readers, we’ve learned that Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Rey’s fancy undies and bras have been pulled off, so to speak, HSN’s Web site.

We guess that answers our question — e-mailed three times to HSN and Reys’ PR people — about whether the physician will continue to be selling his Shapewear line even though last week he started to selll his Senuous Solutions skincare creams on ShopNBC.

A poster to one of HSN’s online forums first reported that Rey’s goodies on Monday were deleted fom the No. 2 home shopping channel’s site. HR passd on that information to us.

Rey is the star of the E! Entertainment Television’s “Dr. 90210.”
