Dave King’s Wedding, Daniel Green Back, Gorga Out In Montclair

January 5, 2017

A bit of brief home shopping catch-up, since we’re under the weather and have to get some rest.

Former QVC host and actor Dave King kicked off the New Year by tying the knot with his lady love, Jenny Repko, in Manhattan Beach in Cali. Congrats to all.

Former Evine host Daniel Green, who left the network last year to break out as a chef and to hawk pots in infomercials, has turned up on the No. 3 home shopping channel again. We don’t know what that’s about, but it looks like the dashing Brit is back with “The Sizzle.”

And finally, Melissa Gorga of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” fame, has apparently closed the shop she had opened in our town, Montclair, N.J. Our talented colleague at our day job, Joan Verdon, broke the story.—envy-closed/96113256/

What’s the home shopping connection? Gorga is one of the many women from the Bravo “Housewives” franchises to do a jewelry line. Her’s was for HSN.

Ex-Evine Live Host Daniel Green Lands Chef Gig

January 21, 2016

It looks like Daniel Green is doing very well post- life as a host at Evine Live.

We are told that Green, who just wrote a book on the Paleo diet, s now the Executive Chef for Minneapolis-based Crave America, a restaurant chain.

If you look at Green’s Facebook page, you will see that most recently he made several TV appearances in Las Vegas, including one on ABC affiliate Channel 13. Crave opened in Vegas in October, and Green is promoting it.

We wish him luck.

Say Goodbye To Evine Live Host Daniel Green

December 10, 2015

We don’t know why, we don’t know when, but Evine Live host Daniel Green has exited the home shopping network.

Evine Live broke the news on Facebook earlier this week.

“We wanted to share with you, our fans, that Daniel Green is no longer a Host with EVINE Live,” the network said. “We wish him the very best in all that comes next for him.”

Green is mum on his Facebook page about what happened. But he has just authored a book on the Paleo Diet.

Evine Live’s move didn’t go over well with some folks.

“Sorry to hear this,” someone wrote. “Always liked him. Very disrespectful on the part of Evine to announce it like this.”

“That’s all?” another wrote. “He devoted how many years and this is how you honor him? Wow.”

“Talent is not something you can buy,” said another. “Daniel brought a level of sophistication to his segments that were respected and enjoyed by many. Tough loss.”

Some of the people who posted also asked a question we’ve been asked: What happened to Connie Kunkle? She is still listed as a host on Evine Live’s Website, but no one has seen hide nor hair of her for months. What gives?

Green, a Brit, received some kind words about his departure from his former colleague, host Melissa Miner.

She wrote:

Some people come into your life and quickly go.
Some people leave footprints on your heart
and you are never the same…

I love you Daniel! Lewis and I will enjoy our friendship with you and your beautiful family for a lifetime.
