Catherine Zeta-Jones Debuts ‘Casa’ Line On QVC

We’ve just what you’ve been waiting for: a celebrity doing a product line for a home shopping network.

Now it’s Catherine Zeta-Jones, who InStyle magazine had the scoop on. It reported that the sultry actress is launching a home collection, Casa Zeta-Jones, on QVC on Sept. 28. You know what they say, mi casa es su casa.

The article notes that Zeta-Jones had some bona fides, in that she is the daughter of a seamstress.

“I can’t wait for everyone to see Casa Zeta-Jones,” she said in a statement to InStyle. “I am thrilled to bring my home and bedding line to QVC. This is a project I have been passionate about and working on for years now, and I am delighted to share it with QVC customers.

The line will include towels, bedding, rugs, and table linens, “all of which will take inspiration from the actress’s Welsh heritage,” according to InStyle.

Designer Reem Acra, Celebrity Schmatta Maker, Is Doing A Collection For HSN

Luxury fashion designer Reem Acra, another “designer to the stars” that we’ve never heard of, will be bringing a collection called Reem (original) to HSN this month.

Here is Ms. Acra’s bio from HSN, for ignorant folk like us who are not up to speed on our fashion designers.

Acra will show off “a capsule collection” during live segments Sept. 22 and 23 during the finale of HSN’s Fall Fashion Series Presented by ELLE. She is looking forward to engaging directly with fans of her designs.

“I know that there are a lot of women out there who appreciate great fashion and may not have easy access to it,” Acra said. “HSN provides that opportunity.”

Items in the Reem collecton will range in price from $39 for a shawl to $299 for a sequin jacket, and the line will include tunics, dresses and jackets with jewelry embellishments.

InStyle Magazine Says Upscale Jewelry Designer Stephen Dweck Has Second Lower-Priced Line In Works, In Addition To QVC’s Dweck Diamonds

It looks like “rock star” jewelry designer Stephen Dweck isn’t just doing a lower-priced line for QVC. He has a second affordable jewelry line in the works for retail. 

Dweck, whose upscale pieces are sold in Neiman Marcus, next month will debut a jewelry line called Garden of Stephen in Bloomingdale’s, according to the November issue of InStyle magazine. This week Dweck debuted another lower-priced line, Dweck Diamonds, on QVC.

In a story headlined “Rock Star,” InStyle notes that celebrities such as Beyonce and Blake Lively of “Gossip Girl” all wear Dweck’s upscale jewelry, which is chunky and loaded with huge semiprecious gems. Actresses Salma Hayek and Catherine Zeta-Jones rocked (get it) Dweck’s jewelry when they were cover girls for InStyle.

Dweck’s Garden of Stephen jewelry is totally different from the work he has done for QVC, and both lower-priced lines are nothing like his higher-end pieces. The jewelry that will be sold in Bloomie’s includes gold-plated chains with semi-precious charms and scarab rings. They are in the $235 to $345 price range.

QVC’s Dweck Diamonds pieces were inspired by nature. They have an organic feel, with designs that incorporate flowers and twig-like branches. Some of the jewelry had tiny buds, sprinkled with diamonds. The most expensive QVC piece was a $604 necklace, which sold out.
