Healing for HSN Jewelry Maven Carol Brodie

Please send prayers, light and healing to HSN jewelry queen Carol Brodie. When it rains it pours, as the cliche goes.

First Carol was hospitalized, and nearly died, after eating “Better Than Pasta Spaghetti,” which contained a potentially lethal substance called konjac jelly or konnyaku. It’s been banned in Europe.

Here’s a good tip: Don’t eat it!

Then Carol’s beloved dog Buckwheat passed away this week. After losing a sphynx cat two years ago, we send our deepest condolences to Carol.

No question that losing a pet is like losing a human family member, and is worse in some ways. Pets offer unconditional love. We are in no way ambivalent about our feelings for them. It is devastating when they cross the rainbow bridge.

So get well Carol, and so sorry for your loss.

I’m so glad Carol survived the spaghetti. What a horrible product. Lawsuit!!
I’m still grieving the loss of my beloved cat. He passed almost 16 years ago. Deepest condolences, Carol. 😿
Lynn Murphy’s look is NOT the result of makeup. I am in the beauty business and makeup is one of my specialties. It looks like they put dark makeup to tone the cheeks down. It made them look worse. The implants have added 10 years to Lynn’s appearance, and it looks like they affect the set of her eyes, OR, she had eye work done, too. Ugh! She was nice looking before all this…looked younger, too. Sometimes it’s best to leave well enough alone…

Thank you for your condolences. As you know, the pain is unbearable. Lawsuit is so right. 😘

So sorry you have to go through this.

      • Jerri Says:

        Hi Carol.
Bless you 😇. My heart breaks for your loss. I miss my cat, and I STILL cry sometimes.
Definitely persue that lawsuit. These food companies get away with way too much, as far as the ingredients they put in food goes. I’m so glad you recovered and shame on them for making that junk. Hopefully the word will get out, and people will be helped by your experience.
        Again, blessings to you.
        Jerri

  2. Queen Celeste Says:

Poor Carol! What an terrible ordeal with the spaghetti. And her beloved dog–that’s so rough. We lost our 14 year-old cat last month. He always followed me throughout the house and slept with me every night. I miss him so damn much. So true what you say, Miss Moss, losing a pet is devastating. Condolences to Carol and anyone feeling such loss, no matter how many years ago it happened.

Haven’t seen Lynn yet, Jerri. It’s awful the procedures women on TV and in the public eye feel they must undergo, or are pressured to undergo, to look younger. So often these days I’ll do a double-take, seeing actresses who no longer look like themselves.

    • Carol Brodie Says:

Thank you for your warm condolences. 😘

    • Jerri Says:

      Celeste,
Lynn can be seen on her Facebook page, selling Chaco Canyon jewelry. I should say look, if you dare.
Most of the time, natural is better. DEFINITELY in Lynn’s case. And women need to stop with those procedures, so they will no longer be expected of them. It’s up to the individual …but even if you’re so inclined… minimal work is better.

  3. Deborah Cardinale Says:

I’m so sorry for all Carol went through! That spaghetti needs to be banned here! I deeply understand the grief of losing a pet. Over the years I’ve lost 5 and each one still hurts like it happened yesterday. They meant so much……..

  4. Carolyn Simpson Says:

I have three dogs, all RESCUES. I love them dearly. btw, never purchase a pet, rescue one. why was that spaghetti even sold here? that’s awful. European laws are much stricter involving food. why havnt we all heard about this? anyway all the best, stay strong.

    • Jerri Says:

      Carolyn
Bless you for rescuing. Adopt, don’t shop, people.
How right you are about European food standards. Did you also know that they have banned pesticides in Europe that are still used in this country?!? Something needs to be done. And I’m running across articles that are actually promoting MSG…..which our bodies react to as a poison. What is going on?

  5. Elle Says:

    Carol,
My deep condolences on the loss of your beloved dog. Like Ms. Moss and Jerri, I lost a cat about 3 years ago. It is so sad, and so devastating. My heart goes out to you.
I’m also in agreement with Jerri about the lawsuit. I’m just happy you’re getting better. You’re one of the very few reasons I watch HSN anymore. Healing vibes to you. ❤️❤️

  6. Alec Says:

    Dear Miss Carol,
I’m glad you are doing better after that bad spaghetti. There must really be something wrong with it, it should be banned. Continue to get better.
My heart hurts 💔 for you and the loss of your pet. It is so hard when they pass; their love is unmatched and they are nothing short of wonderful. I say I am a better person for having my cats over the years. They taught me so much about love. I wish you healing and happiness. And be sure to let yourself grieve; it’s very important, so you can heal.

  7. Maggie Says:

I just saw this and I’m so sorry, Carol. You are one of a few vendors I still watch at HSN. I’ve been busy and haven’t seen TV in awhile.
I’m glad you’re over the scary pasta illness. It seems everything we eat now is harmful or contaminated.
And my sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved pup. Pets make our lives richer and love us, even when we’re not ourselves. Last year my lovely pup passed; he was such a good companion. I miss him to this day. I still can’t bring myself to get another. Blessings and best wishes to you.

  8. Kat Says:

    To Carol Brodie
I have quite a few of your pieces. I like your style, and you have good energy.
Blessings of light to heal you emotionally. I’m so sorry you lost your dog. Been there; it hurts💔 . Love and condolences to you.
Healing blessings to your physical being, I’m so sorry you got sick. And so glad you are getting better. About 10 years ago, I got a bad case of food poisoning. My life wasn’t in danger, but I was sick for over 2 weeks. It can be scary.
My best wishes to you. I look forward to buying more of your jewelry!
