Thanks to those who tipped us off that veteran QVC host Dan Wheeler is retiring.
His farewell show will be Dec. 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wheeler suffered trying times a few years ago when he beloved wife died of cancer. We, and many others, had followed his Facebook page where he posted photos of him at the hospital with her, at her bedside, as well as during happier times.
It was heartbreaking, and certainly anyone who has lost a loved one to cancer can relate. He was truly crushed, and his posts expressing his agony and loss were tough to read.
QVC.com says of Wheeler “A loving father (and grandfather!) who’s all about family & friends. When Dan isn’t cheering on his favorite team, you’ll find him making music with his bandmates. He also loves spending time with his adorable dog, Zoey, and sharing his know-how with shoppers & fans.”

I was sorry about his loss but I’m really glad he’s retiring. I just can’t stand him as a host.

Wow, that’s very harsh. Sometimes silence is truly golden.

I have as much right to my opinion as you to yours. And if “silence is truly golden,” why aren’t you?
