QVC Offers ‘Special’ Deal On 26% Interest Card

Enlighten us if we’re wrong, but it appears that for the first time QVC is offering special financing — i.e. no interest for a certain period — for select pricey items purchased with a QCard.

We got an email on the offer, and have seen it mentioned on a number for a number of very expensive jewelry pieces on

Here’s the deal:

No interest will be charged on the promotional purchase if you pay the promotional purchase (including tax and shipping) in full within the applicable 9, 12 or 18 month promotional period. If you do not, interest will be charged on the promotional purchase balance from the purchase date.

Depending on the purchase amount, promotion length and payment allocations, the required minimum monthly payments may or may not pay off your purchase by the end of the promotional period. Regular account terms apply to non-promotional purchases, and after promotion ends to promotional balance.

For new accounts: As of April 1, 2016, Variable Purchase APR is 26.24% and will vary with the market based on the Prime Rate. Minimum Interest Charge is $1.50.

So if you pay off the cost of your $3,000 Affinity ring within the designated 18 months, for example, you won’t have to pay the ridiculously exorbitant interest that QVC charges.

Quite a deal!

We don’t have any home shopping credit cards because the interest rates are out of this world. We guess this offer is good if you do use a QCard. We guess.

Instead of all these gimmicks to make money through their Q card whether it be offering special financing or their exorbitant 26% interest rate, and also their shipping charges ($11.22 to ship a handbag)…..and of course QVC’s brilliant $10 “try me fee”…..why don’t they try to diversify their products and programming and have their hosts act professionally—that’s how they can grow their business. These days QVC is boring and repetitive, same products over and over especially on weekends……some of hosts are downright annoying!!! So many customers are watching and buying less these days—that’s why their sales are down….QVC needs to get back to basics—unique products instead of things we can purchase locally—-and new programming, not just new show TITLES!

I have a better idea, shop elsewhere, they fired all of their administrative staff and moved their jobs to Poland, accounting, IT, HR and more. How would you like to be those poor soles who lost their jobs and are in their fifties and will never get another one that that level. Meanwhile Mike George makes millions walking around his empty building… The company has no values… Don’t buy from QVC.
