Two years after the passing of comedian and QVC queen Joan Rivers, her fashion jewelry line on the No. 1 home shopping network appears to be going strong. And you can credit David Dangle for that, her cohort in the collection.
Fox Business recently did a story on Rivers’ legacy at QVC, and dapper Dangle offered his insights to the jewelry he launched with Joan.
First of all, he is a two-time Emmy winner, which we never knew.
At the time Rivers’ jewelry debuted on QVC, with a bee pin as her signature, she also had a daytime talk show. Everyone was taken off guard when her QVC items became a hit, Dangle told Fox Business.
“The line instantly became a resounding success,” according to Fox Business.
“At that time, there were just four employees and the business was operating out of Rivers’ dressing room at CBS (CBS). With the demand outpacing the supply, Dangle was forced to create a more organized and forward thinking environment.”
The rest is, as they say, history.
