New Host Meg Watters Prewitt Joins Jewelry Television

We got to eyeball Jewelry Television’s new host, Meg Watters Prewitt, on Sunday night.

Prewitt, a pretty young blonde, was teamed with JTV veteran Sharon Scott, who repeatedly introduced the newbie.

We couldn’t find Prewitt on JTV’s website as a host, but we located her Facebook page.

One of her past gigs was as a spokesmodel for Toyota of Bristol and for Ben Finch Photography.

We wish her luck, but and hope she survives the revolving door that this home shopping network has become.

I would tell her to run like the wind! That channel is a train wreck!

The FB page seems to be deleted.

Looks like Nikki Stanzione FINALLY earned herself a spot on the JTV “Meet the Hosts” page after 8.5 months. Good for her. Quite honestly, I’m surprised that she hasn’t left already (on her own). It’s strange that they take so long to post pictures of their hosts. It’s like they have to pass some kind of probationary period. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s not like they can’t snatch the picture down if the person doesn’t work out.

It’s funny that the Williams sisters are the only ones who didn’t update their pictures. The new background didn’t fool me. Those are the same pictures from the 90’s. They both have aged pretty well, so why insist on keeping profile pictures from 15 years ago? They actually look better now than they did back then.

“Revolving door” indeed. Sharon and Jennifer are always such good sports about training the newbies. Seems like they’re always the ones having to break in the new victims.

After they canned Michelle Lau, I have pretty much not even bothered to look at JTV since I just can’t deal with the yelling of the so called hosts, and, they need hand models, Misty’s hands turn off every ring she puts on along with her yelling, although I do like that Matt guy, but, have not seen him in a minute.

If there’s one thing that Libby Floyd had going for her, it was her hands. Nobody could touch her in that department…. and her nails were real.

    • MaryAnn Says:

Totally agree with you Abigail. Can’t comprehend why they would let go someone who actually was knowledgeable about jewelry like Michelle Lau. And although I like to watch their “Rock Star Designer” show, that “girlfriend Friday” deal is horrific! Stay classy, JTV! LOL

GFF is a tad unprofessional in my opinion. Obviously people like it, because it’s been hanging on for a year now.

What turns me off the most are the skin tight leggings and the ultra high-heel shoes that they wear. They need to lose the love-seats and use chairs that are more fitting for a television broadcast. They appear to be sinking into those loveseats and it just looks awkward. Perhaps put a cute bar table between them.

Then they need to hire a consultant who can give pointers on how they can dress on-trend, yet still be classy. It doesn’t have to be either/or.

Lovie, you mentioned Libby Floyd. While channel surfing last night, I happened to catch her hosting on one of those low-rent jewelry networks. Can’t recall which one. I always thought she exited JTV of her own volition to join her hubby in CA. Perhaps Ms Moss can shed some info on this.

    • Lovie Says:

Are you sure that was Libby? Maybe it was the Liquidation Channel, but I think they’re based out of Austin. I’ll have to do some checking around.

    • Lovie Says:

I don’t think that was Libby Floyd.

      • MaryAnn Says:

Thanks Lovie! Perhaps I’m wrong, but if it wasn’t Libby Floyd, then it was an absolute clone. If I happen to catch her(or whoever it was), I’ll post it.

I have seen Libby F recently on TVOn.com network; the new landing spot of Art Garabedian & Co (formerly DSN). It’s painful to watch or listen too him. (Libby would be better off collecting Unemployment.) I believe it may only be on Directv & some cable channels, and only on a few hrs/night, thankfully.

    • Lovie Says:

Thank you, DollyD. I stand corrected! (Sorry about that, MaryAnn.) I’ll have to check it out. I don’t own a television, so I’ll see if I can see the broadcast online. I’m disappointed, because Libby seemed to be tired of selling stuff on TV. 😦 Maybe the real estate business wasn’t working out. She hasn’t posted on the Caldwell facebook page in over a month. I wish real estate would have worked out for her. She seemed so excited about it. I guess when you’ve got bills to pay, you do what you’ve got to do. Heaven knows I know the feeling.

I wonder if Erin Mosley has had any luck closing sales at Sotheby’s

    • MaryAnn Says:

Thanks for the info DollyD. I knew I saw her somewhere! It was very late & I didnt stay on the channel very long to actually listen to her. (And I do have Directv). Most appreciated!

Checked out the TVOn.com show. They may be a little low rent as far as the broadcast quality is concerned, but I’m willing to bet that the jewelry itself is better quality than JTV. They don’t mess around with “gold over” stuff or CZ’s (AND) they grade their diamonds. JTV knows that a lot of their diamonds are cloudy as heck, so they don’t dare grade them on air. Also the bands of their rings are solid, not hollowed-out like most of the rings on JTV. TVOn is a small operation with a MUCH smaller selection, but the quality of what they do have seems better than the jewelry on JTV.
