Chef Lorena Garcia will premiere a collection of her Lorena Bella Collection on HSN on Nov. 14, the network said Wednesday.
Is she the one in those Taco Bell commercials?
Her HSN line will supposedly combines Garcia’s culinary skills with Joy Mangano’s “expertise in innovation and function to create the next generation of cookware that is not only beautiful, but easy to use,” according to the press release.
The launch collection includes: cookware with the new Technolon+ ceramic non-stick nano-technology; oven to table-top serve ware by Corningware; and accessories.
“Fresh and modern with a splash of Latin flair, I designed this stunning collection so your kitchen can be simply beautiful,” Garcia said in a canned statement. “I hope to serve as a personal cooking coach and to help motivate chefs at home to create delicious and fresh foods infused with fabulous flavor. I feel the kitchen is the heart of the home and I want to inspire people to think healthy, cook well and live a beautiful life.”
And of course, Mangano had to pipe up.
“We are honored to welcome Lorena Garcia and her new Lorena Bella Kitchen Collection to HSN,” Mangano, President of HSN’s Ingenious Designs LLC, said in her canned statement. “Lorena is an amazing culinary talent whose passion for healthy cooking and global experiences provide an unparalleled cooking experience for our customers to enjoy.”
Garcia is Venezuelan born and raised, and has been on TV shows including “Top Chef All-Stars,” “Top Chef Masters,” “The Biggest Loser,” and “America’s Next Great Restaurant.”
She also created “Big Chef, Little Chef,” a program designed to help foster healthy practices in schools across the country.
