We’re behind on this, but Oscar-winning singer Jennifer Hudson is coming to QVC this fall.
Hudson, who came to fame (and later fortune) when she was a finalist in 2002 on “American Idol,” is doing a women’s fashion line for QVC. It will debut in September. WWD broke the story.
“The line will be a variety of apparel designed for women of all sizes,” according to Hudson’s website.
She told WWD: “I feel like I represent every woman. I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it. But I wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it — no matter what size you are — and you could feel comfortable in it.”
Hudson slimmed down considerably since her “American Idol” stint, and looks fantastic as a spokeswoman for Weight Watcher’s.
She walked away with an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “Dream Girls.”
