Academy-Award Winning Costume Designer Colleen Atwood To Debut Apparel Line On HSN

Three-time Academy Award-winning Hollywood costume designer Colleen Atwood is joining the HSN family, as they say at the home shopping network.

The acclaimed designer will debut a collection of exclusive apparel inspired by her work on Universal Pictures’ upcoming “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Atwood will appear on HSN as part of a one-time, 24-hour live shopping event May 30.

The film, starring Kristen Stewart, Oscar winner Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, opens on June 1.

With the release of her “Snow White and the Huntsman”-inspired line, “Atwood brings the epic action-adventure to life with a curated assortment of beautiful designs featuring faux suede, leather trim, lace and chiffon details, all reflecting the spirit of the film,” according to HSN’s press release Monday.

The collection will range in price from $39 for a short sleeve top with delicate lace detail to $169 for an exquisite embroidered dress inspired by one of the Queen’s gowns.

“HSN offers its customers insider access to some of the fashion industry’s most respected authorities, and we are thrilled to welcome Academy Award winner Colleen Atwood to HSN,” HSN FAshion Director Lauren Wilner said in a canned statement. Colleen’s capsule collection reflects the tone and feel of Snow White and the Huntsman beautifully, and I can’t wait for her to share her creations with our millions of customers.”

Atwood had her own canned statement.

“‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ is a beautiful film with rich characters and themes that have provided a wonderful palette of inspiration for my designs,” said Atwood. “I’m excited to bring my first apparel collection to HSN and look forward to making my debut in May.”

The exclusive capsule collection is part of a larger assortment of more than 200 items that have been created for the 24-hour “Snow White and the Huntsman” event on HSN.

High-end jewelry, fashions and home accessories including exclusive pieces from Hutton Wilkinson, Loree Rodkin, Heidi Daus, Ranjana Khan and Adrianne Landau will also be available for sale.
