How many celebrity makeup artists, and stylists, are there in the world? It seems to be an infinite number, if you listen to what the home shopping networks.
The latest is Vincent Longo, a “world-renowned” makeup artist, who is coming to HSN to launch “his superior line of groundbreaking cosmetics.”
The big premiere is March 22, when HSN geeks can buy Longo’s color palettes, “which feature cutting-edge technology with incredible wear-ability, making it a must-have for celebrities, makeup artists, magazine editors, and makeup lovers alike.”
That doesn’t sound like hype, does it?
“My signature line is comprised of professional-grade products such as those used by makeup artists, now made available to HSN customers,” Longo said in a canned statement. “By adapting the latest in research and technology, I create products that blend form, function and fashion, allowing the wearer to tap the well of her own beauty.”
Longo is apparently famous famous for the “natural look” created on supermodels Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista and for “the rest of his impressive client roster of glitterati.”
Alongside its New Essentials core curriculum of cosmetic basics, the line seasonally reinterprets the latest in fashion trends to bring runway to everyday, and offers fashionistas everywhere a steady stream of beauty “newness” throughout the year.
