Tween Soprano Jackie Evancho To Appear On QVC Today and Wednesday With Debut Album

OK, we know we’re getting old. We don’t know who “soprano prodigy” Jackie Evancho is.

But she is coming to QVC with her first full-length album, and will be performing.

Top-selling debut artist of 2010 Evancho is scheduled to appear on QVC Tuesday at noon and 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 7 a.m. to debut “Dream With Me.”

During the QVC broadcasts, the 11-year-old sensation is scheduled to perform a selection of songs from her new classical crossover album, which has been listed as one of the most highly anticipated new releases of 2011, according to QVC’s press release.

“Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase ‘Dream With Me,’ which has been specially packaged with a bonus DVD featuring rare footage from recording sessions and testimonials from Producer David Foster, more than a month before the street date,” QVC said.

“Jackie visited QVC last November to perform songs from her popular seasonal album ‘O Holy Night,’ which went on to sell more than 59,000 copies,” John Kelly, QVC’s vice president of merchandising, said in a canned statement. “We are thrilled to welcome her back and I am confident she will capture the hearts of our customers once again.”

Less than a year after the release of ‘O Holy Night,’ Evancho is popping with “Dream With Me.”

She and Foster collaborated on a range of songs from classical arias and pop classics to Oscar-winning show tunes, creating an extraordinary compilation. The CD contains 14 tracks including two duets featuring music legend Barbra Streisand and international phenomenon Susan Boyle.
