Lady Gaga Goes Goo-Goo Over QVC…Not Really, But She Mentioned It

We love it when the consumer press, as we in the biz call it, writes the millionth version of the “home-shopping-networks-are-no longer-just-for-middle-aged-women-in-the-Midwest” story.

“Snap out of it,” as Cher told Nic Cage in “Moonstruck.”

The latest of these stories is a piece The Los Angeles Times did a few days ago, headlined, “HSN makes its beauty mark in the world of boundary-less shopping,” as HSN CEO Mindy Grossman put it.

We would not even mention it, but we liked a remark in it from Lady Gaga.

The Times quoted Extra TV quoting Lady Gaga as saying, “I sort of have a secret desire that when I turn 55, I want to become a QVC girl and sell domestic vacuums. It’s all about the hair flip and the manicure.”

We likey.

So true! It seems like they do those “TV shopping is going upscale” stories every other year or so.

Who cares about a no talent artist like Lady Gaga, her opinions mean crap to me & Taylor Swift is the only one I dig these days. Hopefully QVC will have Paul McCartney, the Stones & Aerosmith on their channel before too long. I know the Q sells the Beatles merchandise along with Elvis & did the Stones/Pink Floyd as well with Steve Bryant a while back.
